Canadian Idol Top Seven

Big Band week and the judges were loving it. Seemed like they were loving the groove so much that they forgot how to be critical...well until Casey Leblanc and Daryl Brunt at least.

Suzi Rawn

Pops: Fun but didn't quite hit the chorus right - which is the whole thing with Minnie the Moocher. But she sure can sing.
Mavis: Has a nice voice - audience participation takes away from her performance - still I liked it.

Aaron Walpole

Pops: Style is perfect for his voice, right in his wheelhouse. Cheese but good cheese this time.
Mavis: He's fun but the voice is weak.

Melissa O'Neill

Pops: She seems under the song a bit, her voice just isn't big enough for the song.
Mavis: Maybe moving around more with the song would have been better - nice but song gets a little boring.

Josh Palmer

Pops: Can hardly hear him. Good style but could leave him in trouble.
Mavis: You can see his forehead! Too low for his voice? Creates a nice mood.

Rex Goudie

Pops: I'm just not sure he can sing well enough. The girls seem to like him though.
Mavis: A very good song performed ok. End was very nice.

Casey Leblanc

Pops: Why is she still here? Voice cracked, ouch! Recovered but not very good.
Mavis: Movements come off a little contrived - a nice try.

Daryl Brunt

Pops: This is actually really good. Strong performance.
Mavis: Great song - I was worried but he did very well.

Bottom Three

Pops: How do you pick? Casey Leblanc does not belong but has never even approached the bottom three. Daryl Brunt is out of his league but I think he squeaks through another weak. I guess my predictions don't matter 'cause I never close to being right, so here goes:

Melissa O'Neill, Casey Leblanc and going home - Josh Palmer (not that he deserves to but I don't know if he can get enough votes)

Mavis: I think Casey should go but for some reason she gets the votes so I can't pick her to leave.
